Main St. will lead you by The Academy of Performing Arts Theater, art galleries, specialty shops, and restaurants on the way to the jewel of the Lower Cape, Nauset Beach.
Nauset Beach is known for its gorgeous sunrises and waves perfect for surfing and boogieboarding. Plus, you can go off roading in your 4-wheel drive vehicle with an over-sand permit.
Another gem of East Orleans just a couple miles away is Pilgrim Lake. Enjoy the largest of Orleans freshwater ponds for swimming, kayaking, and paddleboarding.
Kent’s Point Conservation is a great place to go take a hike. Check out the 1.2 mile loop walking trail along a salt marsh that over looks the northern point of Pleasant Bay.
